Metro Pacific Health (MPH) and Medicard, an AIA company, have expanded their strategic partnership to further strengthen healthcare accessibility for Filipinos. Building on the foundation laid during last year’s initial signing, this latest Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) formalizes the inclusion of additional MPH hospitals under the Preferred Status Program.
The Preferred Status Program is a strategic partnership in which participating MPH hospitals are designated as Medicard’s preferred providers, enabling shared service standards and operational alignment to enhance patient experience and healthcare delivery.
The MOA signing was held on July 11, 2025, at the Metro Pacific Health Head Office in Pasig City.

The signing also brought together key leaders from both Metro Pacific Health and Medicard. Representing MPH were Jessica Abaya, Chief Marketing Officer, and JR Mabagos, Strategic Partnerships Manager. From Medicard, attendees included President and CEO Julian Mengual, Dr. Catherine Jimenez, Director for Medical Services, Emerson Conducto, Head of Provider Management, and Rhea Negrete, Provider Management Officer.
This latest agreement builds on the initial partnership signed in 2024, which brought the following MPH hospitals under the Preferred Status Program:

– Commonwealth Hospital and Medical Center (CHMC)
– Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital (OLLH)
– Riverside Medical Center Inc. (RMCI)
– Marikina Valley Medical Center (MVMC)
This event marks the official onboarding of Batch 2 hospitals under the same partnership terms previously established. As the partnership continues to grow, both organizations are exploring new opportunities to elevate the patient experience and expand health programs for the communities they serve.
